I don't lie about my size, and I would encourage others to not lie either. Because if a man wants a petite model, that is not me, why waste time for both of us, and also, some men plain don't like tall, amazon women, fine, I won't waste his time, or set myself up for rejection. Therer are plenty of other men who think I am okay. I would rather meet them, than spend time with a man who wants a thin woman. I am not thin, maybe not fat, but definitely on the side of being bigger, with big, large breasts, and a big bootie to match. I have no problem with my size

I just calculated my BMI, I am overweight. If I was into dating, is that what should be added on the Match.com stats, your BMI...how foolish...So glad I am over dating now.

Nope. Just right.

It most definitely could be, it depends on BMI, height and frame. Someone who is 5'1, small frame and has an ideal weight of 100-115 lbs well, 30 lbs is almost 30% over their ideal weight

Wrong

one of the expectations men have of women is that they look good to them... women have a different set of expectations for men including how much money they make.

In a world with perfect ideals women would not care about whether a man has a job and a man would not care how a woman looks but that is not reality...

The reality is that men place a value on beauty and find women who take care of themselves appealing...

It's obvious that people should not try to pretend to be something they're not and that would include many more things besides their body size because that's going to end up with some very awkward and unpleasant first meetings. One problem is that people often have an image of themselves that isn't realistic so it's not like they're really lying about themselves, they just don't realize how others perceive them. Also, I think the issue of obesity is something that both men and women have a hard time accepting if they have this problem and a guy who might describe himself as "husky" might have enough gravitational force to have his own orbiting moon.

Out of curiosity I looked at a few personals on Craigs list for Women seeking men. It seems that women like to use euphemisms for describing their weight. Such as BBW (big beautiful women) or full figured. Seems to me it would just be better to post height and weight. Let the reader decide if it matters.

Some of the other stuff these women posted I found rather strange and I am not talking about the obvious prostitution advertisements. One gal challenged the guys to tell her how her adds caused guys to know there was something wrong with her. She followed it up with another one saying she was making it into a contest.

Kudos to you for being honest about it. I think part of the issue is that a lot of guys have no idea about women"s weight, so they think that anything over 120 is morbidly obese regardless of height and build and all that jazz.

I don't check out womens' profiles on dating sites, but I can say that the men are also lying about their weight, as well as their height (and marital status). Or they just don't see themselves as fat. Some men will post pictures, and they're obviously big men, and mark "average" as body type. It's pretty common, actually. I'm thinking they actually believe that they are not as big as they really are, so they do not think they are lying. I met a man I'd met on a dating site who claimed he was "average", the pics certainly looked like he was average size (though they may have been older, and he had taken them from a flattering angle - the "myspace pose" - and when I met him, he was pretty huge. And short! Still, he was fun, and we had a nice time.

It's not just women lying, guys.

I fit into a size 3 (girlpants) and I don't want a girl that's bigger than me.

Well as further curiosity I looked at the Men seeking women (Craigs list) just a moment ago. And one of the first ads was a married man seeking a girlfriend, he said why not be honest.

I will grant after reading some of these ones (from the men) the women ads seem sober and sane in comparison. Though most guys did just give their size and weight.
