I was speaking to a friend recently who confessed to me that he lost his virginity when he was 17 – to a 13 year old girl.
He told me she didn’t look or act 13, and was already experienced – somehow this was supposed to make it ok.
I told him I didn’t care, she was a damn child and he shouldn’t have slept with her. He argued that he was a horny teenage boy and his hands were tied, but I am still pretty disgusted. He is in his late 30’s now, but ever since he confessed this to me, every time I have seen him even LOOK at a teenage girl I shudder.
What do you make of this? Am I overreacting or do I have a reason to feel this way?
And yeah 17 and 13 is pretty messed up. My sister who's 15 has a couple friends who could probably pass for 17, but I can't imagine a 13 year old passing for 17.
If he was 13 and slept with a 13 year old would you be as disgusted? It's essentially a high school freshman and senior - not such a disparity in age.

Not that it makes much of a difference, but if you read my post, you would see he is now in his late 30’s – 39 in fact – born in 1971, experimenting in 1988, not in 2010.
She was in primary/elementary school just a year before… primary school.
I don’t know if I would be more disgusted, even if it is only a few years, you’d think a 17 year old would have a bit more sense, especially this guy, who has always seemed the same to me and seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders.
Did he molest or rape this girl, or was it consensual? If it was consensual, this was years in his past, and I don't think it's fair to assume he still views teenagers the same way he did when he was a teen. If he does, obviously he's got serious issues.

He has a lot of teenage porn. Although they are 18-19, it still creeps me out after this confession, I know it shouldn't beause they are perfectly legal, but it does… I had always known he had porn (we have known each other since forever and don’t really have any secrets) but didn’t realise just how much of it was teenage until recently.

At 13 years old, that would be 8th grade..in the 70's, that was junior high.
Bad news. For those guys, dating young girls...ask for ID, because those girls do lie. And just because they lied, does not make it any easier if their parents get you nailed.

Yup. But they can have fake IDs, too. Remember Rob Lowe's predicament at the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta years ago? That girl went to my highschool. Bleah.
