I dont know. I guess it depends on what type of guy you have. Tattoos and piercings are usually worn by a certain type of person who goes for a certain personal sense of style that I am just not into. Sure, Kat Von D and especially her old friend Pixie are attractive girls, but not really my type. If I met them before all the tats and piercings I would be very attracted to them, but as soon as I see that they are drifting into that type of style by getting one tattoo, then another tattoo, then a nose piercing, then a bellybutton piercing, Id have to call it off.

I am a far Right leaning conservative guy (in most things but not all) who does not have, and will never get a tattoo and finds bellybutton piercings on women to be especially unattractive so I would be VERY unhappy if my wife came home with one. Thank god she feels the same way about tats and piercings that I do.

I guess I would think your bf would be upset because:

1. He already told you how much he dislikes them but you go ahead and get one anyway.

2. He could be thinking you care not about his feelings and views on things.

3. He is probably thinking that you are a selfish and inconsiderate "me first" type of person.

Just my guess.

Of course I accept him, flaws and all. If I didn't, he wouldn't be my boyfriend, nor should he be.
