Basically, can a person have nothing of value to offer to others, except maybe their own family? What do you think?

Yes, as sad as it makes me to say, yes.

Take a douche like Hitler...... worthless bag of human material.

I think every human being has value, some choose to live their lives in worthless and evil ways but they have the capacity to be good. Even Hitler was once a child and innocent.

Nobody is worthless. It's wrong to think somebody is.

No. I don't think anyone is worthless. We all have the power to make choices. We all have the potential to make a difference.

You first need to decide what worth is. What you are worth to yourself or to others. Worth is something that can increase or decrease from actions we take. If a person wants to be of greater worth it takes work.

Enough platitudes and generalities. Why the question? Saying that someone has nothing of value to offer to others but their family would make me wonder why the family is so easily dismissed. Having worth to your family is a very good thing to have.

At worst, you're worth $4.50 - at best, $45 million. These seem to be the low and high prices paid for a human body. The low-end bid is for simply a pile of freeze-dried chemicals left after death; the high bid, taking into account the worth of bone marrow, DNA, organs, etc.

Ever so cheerful! You make me feel like a light-hearted optimist at times!
