yeah but since we know your situation----you are not married---therefore his mother is the woman in his life right now. he hasnt really made a commitment to you and i cant believe you are not counting your lucky stars that you are NOT married to him after what he did to you!

The question seems to center around a vague question of morality. I tend to think that certain family members probably contribute more to the success of relationships within their family if they know and feel comfortable with the individual who is pursuing their relative. There's no doubt that racial attitudes form many of these ideas which is really a shame.
