I hear so many people talk about how others might think of them.

Like, "You will make me look like a bad mother."
"I will look like a tramp."

I have always done exactly what I want. I wear what I want and do what I want. If I want to play on the playground with my boy and run around with him....I will without a thought of what others at the park might think.

What about you? Are you really conscious of others opinions around you?

In my personal life? Nope.
In my professional life? Yes.

Sometimes I care and sometimes I really don't give a damn. Honestly, it depends on my mood. However, the older I get, the more I've noticed that I lean towards the "I don't give a damn" attitude.

I want to add an addendum to my answer, based on Little Mizz Pittsburgh's posting.

In my personal life, the opinions of others do not figure into my actions, with the exception of my wife.

That being said, there's an enormous difference between taking into account what others will think of you, and taking into account what effect your actions will have on others. I do take into account the latter.

People who say, "They don't care", are lying to themselves and to everyone else.

If people really didn't care, we'd have a lot more folks walking down the street naked, crapping in the bushes. You care what people think, I promise, even if you've convinced yourself that you don't.

Like CPG, In my personal life I have no filter and I have reached an age where I could care less about how people feel about my actions, statements, etc.
At work i am a little more behaved but I still speak my mind. My mgmt expects this LOL

I will say this, my lack of filter cost me a job once but my God, it felt good to tell my boss off in front of every single person after months of her harassing me - it needed to happen so I got "laid off" LOL Well worth it.

We have to keep it legal.

Obviously people wouldn't crap in bushes and walk naked or they would get arrested.

I'm talking about something that is of a personal choice. Something like what I mentioned in my opening comments.
