There was no need for her to apologize. It's not your fault you're attractive (in fact, being attractive is a good thing). The other mom was probably just jealous of you.
I think she was just horrified that her son directed the term in my direction...it looked like she was offended by the language and thought I might be too.

Were you offended? Or did you take it as a compliment?

Why would you think the mother was jealous!?! Her son was out of line and I think what she did was totally appropriate for the situation.

This is what I was talking about when I said the acronym is not always meant literally. People get all worked up over the term MILF because they think everyone always means the term literally.
All the teen did was call her attractive (and his choice of wording was MILF)

I just kinda brushed it off because he was a teen and I thought it was pretty inapporpriate for him to say that to me. I've never been a big fan of the term MILF, but if he had been an actual adult, and I knew that he was playing around or had a good personality, then I wouldn't have thought anything of it. However, this kid had a smug arrogance about him that I'm sure would rub most people the wrong way. His mom did the right thing by putting him in his place.
But it's not just the term MILF that has sexual implications.
If you say someone is hot, that can also mean sexual implications.
Who said anything about the word "hot?"
But, yes, there are lots of words and phrases that have sexual meanings to different degrees. The mature person understands this and will take that into consideration when communicating.

Teen could be anywhere from 13-19. How old did he look? The only reason I ask is because I'm 19 and there's stuff I said/did at 13 that I wouldn't say/do now.
