the thing is that i have had a couple friends that liked me a while after we met. maybe the friend zone is the no way never zone, but there is a maybe zone where you haven't dated yet. things can change over time, like one person may be into someone else, then into you later. Or they could see you differently, if you look better or are at a better place. It's not worth worrying about, because you can't wait for a maybe, but it happens sometimes and of course when you don't expect.
