Why is it that generally gay males are in better physical fitness shape than straight males?

I havn't had much association with gay males in my life. Except meeting a few and when I think about it all were physically fit.

So why is it exactly

most of them are also better dressed than staight men and they keep their homes neater. maybe the idea of the typical "slob" male repulses them? i dunno.

Yeah, they're generally aesthetic and more refined - just like women!

I think that's a generalization about gays being in better shape. They're like heteros and come in all different shapes and sizes. Google "Gay Bear" or "Gay Chub."

A buddy of mine is an urban planner and he said that when a city is wanting to revitalize a dying part of the city they openly try to attract gay investors because they do a great job of making the new stores and housing look great. I've seen areas of San Diego, San Francisco and Chicago where this seems to be true.

I think they tend to be more visible, so it's easy to assume they are all or mostly that way. We had a gay roommate. He was a redneck slob who never exercised at all. His idea of fashion was to cut the arms off old button-up shirts and wear them with jeans and ratty tennis shoes.

For the gay guys who do work out a lot, I think it's appreciation of the male physique, their own and in the guys they desire. Lots of sculpting and tanning and waxing and creating the ideal Adonis body.

Probably just coincidence that that's all that you see. Most of the ones I see here in Dallas are either overweight or extremely thin, most of which do not dress very well, but would fit the slob profile more so than the GQ.

I agree with Sierra.... they just generally care more about their appearance and they are trying to attract other males. Gay males typically are attracted to very fit males.

You're sterotyping gays. Not all gays are physically fit. My brother and his partner certainly aren't and most of their friends aren't either.

But now I will say they do know how to decorate a home. That's a trait that I find in all gays. My neighbors have the nicest home and so does my brother and his friends.

Agreed! The gays are fixing up our town too. My street is filled with gays much to my delight. I know I have one of the best streets in the historical district.

It is known that if you have alot of gays then you're in the right place to see that area grow and flourish nicely.
