Whenever I talk to this guy I like on the phone, I get a feeling in my stomach and my heart starts beating rapidly. Sometimes I even become tongue tied. I am really shy and feel nervous when talking to guys, especially this one guy that I work with. So now how can I get over this if I ever want to go out with them?

Is this the same guy that's the player at work? I wish you would have gone out with the college guy that you meet at the library. Oh, well.

It's normal to have those reactions when you first start talking to someone over the phone. It's just nerves. Take a deep breathe whenever you start feeling like your heart is beating rapidly.

You also can go to the library and get books on how to talk to guys or something like that.

I'd watch 'Sex and the City' and get in the mood.

I'm going to assume you like the guy? Even though I'm a guy I'm exactly the same way. I'm shy and really bad on the phone and back before I was married it was worse if it was a girl I liked on the other end.

The solution is just try and talk on the phone more often and have an idea of what you're going to talk about.
