The snow mounds on the corners are so high you have to say a prayer before pulling out onto the main road.

I hear that. I drove my husband to the car dealer last week, right after the big snow, and pulling out of their parking lot required a wish and a prayer.

It's still in the 30's at night, but that's normal. Here the differences between day and night are always huge.

On the upside, the snow in my backyard is still almost entirely smooth and unbroken, and it's very pretty. It's sparkling so much in the morning sun that it doesn't look real. If you move around a little while looking at it, all the glinting light refracts and changes colors.
