And I think that's what most of us are trying to warn him of. Not that he's going to get murdered (or is a murderer himself,) but that he's banking on smoke and mirrors. It's a fantasy, and no reality is going to be able to live up to his lofty expectations. Of course it's all rainbows and unicorns now, because it's not real. A real relationship means you have to deal with things like his parents don't like you, or you're working late too often, or you've got different financial goals. It's not all fun.
That's what so alarming about this story too for me is that Knight lives in a fantasy world at his age. It's not healthy and I don't see this friendship as healthy. This young girl can't possibility live up to his expectations. The dripping sugary sentiments in describing their relationship and her are...frightening to me.
As he has said on another thread that she has low self esteem - is it low self esteem or uncomfortable about him gushing about her non-stop in emails?
I shouldn't say anymore because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I feel there are other factors here.
The other thread was closed. I was going to say the young girl & her family may be members of a strict religion. One where this girl has no freedoms, outside of family functions......
I doubt that a girl from a strict religious family would have unfettered access to internet and phone to be carrying on a secret "relationship" for several hours a day, though.

It's possible at times, she could be at the library doing homework...with computer access...
