This thread is sort of a spin-off of the one about women's opinions on men with expensive sports cars.

What do men think when they see a woman driving an expensive sports car?

Or with any expensive item or accessory?

I have a $100+k luxury sports car (and have 2 other cars) and live in a pretty expensive home. Most comments made by strange men usually run towards, "What does your husband do for a living?"

Implying, of course, that I couldn't have gotten any of this myself (which I did). This usually really makes me angry...but an eye roll usually suffices.

Comments?

Women, how do you feel about the fact that many men will assume anything nice you have is because some man earned the money for it and gave it to you?

I think it would be common for people to think “she must be with a generous man” specially when that child seat is clearly visible or the big shinny ring on her left hand. It's like "Hey! lucky her!".

I've offered before but I would think Stan4 needs a guy around to mow her yard, clean her pool & be her bodyguard.

I would think she was either a very successful woman or a very expensive woman. I know, I know, that's a bit sexist. I have a question... Emotionally unavailable mean Physically available ?

I usually think, "Man, I would love to pull a Kevin Federline on her ass."

Before I was married, whenever I saw a woman with an expensive sports car or anything else whose expense screamed excessiveness, I would naturally conclude that she wasn't good enough for me. I never assumed that she obtained the car (or anything nice) because of some man.

I always preferred women who were understated in their beauty, intelligence, and/or wealth.

I'd say nice car. And I'd keep on walking. While I like cars and I like pickups even more... That is not what I use to measure a person's worth or usefulness.

I think the reaction all depends on how old you are and how good you look which is sort of how the ladies responded in the other thread when the shoe was on the other foot.
