WAaayyy back when my husband and I were just married I had a group of friends, one of which had just moved to our area and was a newer friend.
Anyway, The Brian Setzer Orchestra was popular at that point and swinging (the dance form) was going mainstream again. The dance studios were advertising lessons, clubs were having special themed swing dance nights and a lot of couples were learning the moves.
Well...this new girl starts talking about "swinging" and here I was so naive and I exclaimed "oh I think that is so cool...my husband and I were talking about going to a swing club". Well the conversation was pretty funny for a bit...she was talking about "partners" and naturally I thought she meant dance partners. A few minutes into the conversation we realized we weren't talking about the same thing. It was pretty darn funny...had to be there I guess.

At my age it's more like this...
