Just found out that my wife of 8 years has been cheating on me for years with a guy that was "just a friend" and that she told me 1,000,000 times was only like a "little brother" to her. I never trusted the guy from day one and my gut instinct proved to be right all along!
Before I get hopelessly drunk, I am warning any of you guys out there who have wives with male friends. It is NEVER platonic! Male or female, when you take the oath of marriage, you should NOT have friends of the opposite sex, unless they are mutual friends that you hang out with as a couple, rather than have 2 hour conversations with on the phone while hubby or wifey isn't home.

So sorry you are hurting
But broad generalizations like yours are misleading and inaccurate.
Plenty of men and women manage to be friends without having affairs.
Always go with your gut because it's always right. Men and women can have friends of the opposite sex even while married but there's got to be boundaries that can't be crossed.
oh let him go have his drink and wallow in misery for a bit. just dont make it a habit.
an affair has less to do with the other person, and more to do with the morals (or lack thereof) of the cheating spouse.
look on the bright side- your problem (even if you didnt know she was a problem) is now someone elses problem. And if she cheated on you, odds are in favor of her cheating on him.... hopefully, you two did not have kids, as that makes it tougher....
I'm a tomboy at heart and have had male friends that I could only see in a platonic way, never ever in a romantic/sexual way. That doesn't mean they felt the same about me, but I believe every case is different. It is best not to do things that make your partner uncomfortable though.
