As many here know, I don't have a car anymore. So I often walk to the grocery store or wherever I am going. The other day I was coming back from a run to the grocery store and passed a church where they have members who have had drug problems and other kinds of problems in the past. I always go through there cause it's the clearest shortcut. So as I'm walking home, this lady comes up to me with 2 of her friends and starts talking to me. Then they ask if they can pray for me. So I'm like, sure, the more good energy directed towards me the better. So she starts praying and after that we get to talking. She tells me, " We've seen you walking here a few times now. We used to have problems, too. All of us used to have problems." So it dawns on me that these sweet ladies think I am a hooker, bless their heart. And I tell them, "I was just coming from Walgreens." They don't seem to believe me, but continue to invite me to their church.
I thought this was very funny, I don't know why.
That's because nobody walks. Same here. I also get strange looks if I walk in "undesignated" areas in street clothes.
Long may it live in our memories, since you certainly won't hear that album on Top 40 stations anymore.
I'll play things like "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" once in a while at the club if I don't like the girl that's up on stage. The other night I played this for one of our trouble-makers -

I know what you mean. Other people have told me this too. In general I realize some people are mean and try to rile me or something.I don't know what their problem is, I don't even know them. I guess when some people have bad days they might want to take it out on others, I don't know.

Yeah, us walkers do get some weird looks when we're in the 'hood' walking. I walk so I can stay in shape, also. I realize many people don't like others who try to be fit.

Oh, and more good news. Yesterday I discovered the 'Page Up', and the 'Page Down' buttons. All this time I used to get annoyed that I had to use the mouse every time I needed to get to the top of the page and it would take forever. Now I just press the button and I am at the top of the page. Cool!
I know. I think they just confused "satin" with "Satan"...one of them even referred to me as "a little Devil".
