Hmm, I would say, at least in my area (Des Moines, Iowa), the quality of women on Plentyoffish and other dating sites is usually on the low end with very few exceptions, when I am browsing women between 34 and 40, usually, I find that 1 out of 20 are average looking, not overweight, don't have 3 or 4 kids and not covered in trashy tattoos.
So, today, I decided to do a search as if I was a woman looking for a man, within same age range, location and I was shocked.
The quality of the men's profiles is even worse, I mean, some of these dudes profiles have pictures of them catching bass, hunting or posing by a truck or a boat not to mention, grammatical errors and profiles that have absolutely no substance.
Anyways, I really feel bad for the women hoping to find someone decent on these websites!

There's a lot of less than... acceptable for both genders. But if you're looking for a long term relationship you only need one.

I think that would actually be a pretty awesome picture
I don't think the issues with online dating are too different than the "real world." Plenty of men are act like douches to women and women have their faults. I think some people expect (or used to expect) people online to be different than those they meet in the real life and we find out they're not. At least online there's a profile that can (hopefully) help to weed out the bad ones.
