I didn't even know anything was really wrong till it was over "I'm a guy" clueless I guess. I moved out like she asked before I really had a chance to digest what was happening. At first I was pissed, thought we would naturally work things out over time but then i realized she was just trying to control me. I finally took family advice and moved away, reconnected with a women I knew in high school and to my surprise, things are honestly very nice. Everyone in her family loves me, my divorce should be finalized in may. I didn't plan it this way but her family has a lot of money and life is good, they want us to marry and i'm not against it but I don't want it to be about money.
I'm a regular guy, on my own or married I was up and down financially, This family made millions. I thought I was doing something hitting 100k. I'm kind of at a loss.
I think about it and even without my girlfriend I would never go back so I'm guessing its just my problem. Her moms coming in from florida next month, says we are playing cards no matter what, shes been a good lady and has offered more than i care to take, lived in one of her homes for 4 months till I found this place. I'm thinking too much

It seems to be a bit of a red flag to me that the lady you reconnected with AND HER FAMILY are so eager to see you two get married.

Good grief man, the inks not even dry on your divorce papers! Heck, the ink is not even ON the divorce papers yet

You were blindsided, rejected and terribly hurt. If you don't take time to process all that and deal with the part you played in that happening you are just going to take your issues with you into your next marriage - not a good plan.

You sound like somebody who has gotten entirely too used to just letting life "happen" to you.

My LTR ended before I even knew it was over.

Basically, she didn't even tell me until 2 months after she decided to let me know that we were no longer together. Her decision. Came from a text also.

Her mom said to me when we were alone that she just wants her to be happy which is sorta what my parents said. Maybe your right about "life"happening to me. I kind of wonder about my ability to judge people soundly or rationally. I know this women is a good person even if I wasn't in the picture but forever is a long time as I know.

Sounds to me like you could really benefit from some introspective "me" time, preferrably with the assistance of a counselor, BEFORE you jump from the frying pan into the fire.

Yea, i'm with lovesMountains. This sounds like a classic case of "rebounding". I would slow things down with this new girl. Don't go getting married.

Can you take it slower and have a year courting her just to make sure this marriage might last? You're jumping from one relationship to another and I'd hate for her to be your re-bound person or think years later that you didn't give yourself time to get over one relationship before you jumped in another. Even if she's Ms Right for you, I think a year is plenty of time to ease into another relationship and really get to know that person so you know it's right this time.

I'm kind of laughing really, Its just me, i've been with her almost a year and things are great
