Just reading the OP, sounds like Gym Rat wasn't very pleasant but it was more a serious lapse of judgment on the part of Facilitator. WHY would anyone go over and say "Sorry, my friend isn't into full figured women." WORST. WINGMAN. EVER. Facilitator should have instead said "My friend thinks you're really nice, but just not his type." or something else that was much more pleasant instead of shooting his friend in the foot and riling up the lady.

Why say anything at all? First, he knows his friend, who loves to hang out at gyms, is into fitness and would NEVER go out with a full-figured woman. So, he tries to set him up with a full-figured woman. Doesn't make sense other then to embarrassed the woman so him and all his friends can laugh about her.
