She sounds more like an independent person: the best friend you will ever have is yourself. And sometimes you have to rely on others.

Your 0 for 3 is just a minor slump. But if you have pre-conceived notions that you will not like the guy, then you will never find a guy. There are plenty of "normal, relaxed, sane" guys out there... I think the real question is are you ready to meet them?
i think you shoulld just focus on making friends and expanding your social network. You will naturally meet more normal people that way. Using dating sites and what not will get you an unproportionate number of weirdos. Even if u dont immediately find someone to date, hey at least you made some friends =).
Well I can say that I've been accused of being too laid back to a fault. Just broke up with a young lady I really adored because she always implied that I was passive aggressive whenever we argued because I just wouldn't raise my voice. I like a laid back, mild tempered woman and she was most certainly high strung. I hate it because I really liked her but I could see that her accusations about how I felt and delt with anger would be an issue. I simply refuse to let ANYONE get me upset to the point of screaming and shouting. Not my style.
So make sure that you really want a "laid back" guy. He may be laid back to the point of annoying you if you are a high strung, aggressive female that needs attention 24/7 (not saying that you are OP).
