most likely met some liberals and based his entire opinion on a few bad experiences.

That's usually the case.

There is a saying:

“If you're not a liberal at twenty, you have no heart; if you're not a conservative at forty, you have no brain.”

Good ol' Winston Chruchill said that one (or something similar).

Conservative republicans believe in the "small gov't, everyone look out for themselves" mentality. They are more prone to earn their keep and not take anything for granted. There is a certain dominance about conservatives that I think women would find appealing.

I think liberal democrats are more likely to expect and accept help from others (or the gov't) to get where they are going. They tend to be more reliant, or at least expectant, of assistance. This is a less dominant trait and therefore less attractive to many women. Of course, this is assuming that a) women are attracted to strong, dominant males and b) the man's political philosophies strongly influence his social philosophies.

However, liberals also have a heart so to speak. They are more willing to reach out to those who need it. I think this is very attractive to women. I'm not sure that there really is a clear winner here.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about relationships, and even less about politics.

Folks, I know this is a hot-button discussion, but please avoid bashing ("They are all a bunch of" type posts). The Politics forum has plenty of flame wars for that purpose.

Thanks!

Oh, I just posted this for those who believe in this charade. I personally question the sanity of anybody who trusts the government and gets his "knowledge" of events from the mass media and its reality shows. That's why I wouldn't be able to mesh with a guy who's passionate about one side of the charade.
