On average who do you think overrates their own physical appearance more, women or men ?
I say women on average do it more. For example I have seen some plain jane nothing special to look at women say that Howard Stern or Jay-Z is ugly and how they would never want to date them. They act like with hteir looks they could easily land a man that looks like Derek Jeter or Paul Walker and that someone like Howard Stern and Jay-Z is way beneath their league in the looks department even though they themselves are not Maxim hot 100 material.
I think it's exactly the opposite. Women are excessively critical of their looks and are almost never happy about their appearance. Many men I know are the exact opposite and aren't even aware of how they look. I also think it's common for males to see themselves for almost a lifetime as the person they were in high school or college. They don't seem to see the changes. Women obsess about every extra pound or jiggly bit. Women spend billions on any lotion or potion to try and defeat the ageing process or drop a lot of dollars on plastic surgery. Most men don't go to those extremes.
Just because I say I wouldn't date XXXXX, doesn't mean I think I am more attractive than that individual. It just means I wouldn't date them. There are many men out there who are less attractive that I would date and many very attractive men I wouldn't be even slightly interested in knowing.
Sierra so you think most men see themselves as Greek Gods in the looks department ? If that is the case than does that mean most men have plenty of confidence in themselves ? Aren't women attracted to confidence ? If that is the case, than why do so many men complain about not being able to get a girlfriend if the vast majority of them have confidence by the truckload ?
Among my friends? Men for sure. All of us women think we are too fat.
