Of course, it's probably not, all that talk of lottery got me thinking about a cash prize.
In situations like this I think drawing straws/dice/a lucky dip always comes in handy. No guilt/accusations of favouritism possible! You can blame chance!
$300 I would give to a person who didn't get to go to nice restaurants too often. In my case I would give it to my Mother. Without a doubt.
Also if it's for a specific restaurant I would make sure the recipient could get to it easily.
$300 is a good amount, but if it's a pricey restaurant it won't go far for a group of more than 4 so I would bear that in mind before making reservations for a big group.
Thanks for the replies. I decided to give it to the couple, who will actually spend it on meals and not drink it all. Also out of all the people they would probably be in the least best financial position.
