A few days ago a new guy in his early fourties started to work with us. He seemed very proper, serious and mature ...and seems to be single. I am single too, and this guy found out about this. I have tried to be pleasant, welcoming since he is new and seems to be a nice guy. Suddenly, he started showing me his funny side a few days ago. He winked and smiled at me while we were talking, nudge me once after he told a joke and today he went by my office window, and sticks out his tongue at me?????? I am younger than him for at least 10 years. Now my question is, is he trying to be friendly, flirty or just trying to get my attention??? i never have met a man (grown up supposedly) that would behave like this. I find it easy to talk to him , fact that surprises me, since I could be very shy, especially to new people. Please your opinions are greatly appreciated

Perhaps he is just trying to impress his new employees by showing his funny, relaxed side now.
You said that he was serious and mature acting when he first joined everybody. He just may be trying to fit in and this is his way of doing it.
Take it one day at a time. Time will tell!

Too early to tell. It sounds like harmless flirting to me and flirting doesn't always mean attraction in the workplace. He could just be playing you or feeling you out. He also could just be a silly guy with that type of sense of humor. Just wait and see.

Definite attraction...hes being playful witch voices comfort. Guys sometimes do strange things around women to get attention.

And the other day he took out his iphone and started to show me pictures of his boat. It has been at least 5 days since he started and he treats me like he's known me forever....

He sensed a vibe from you most likely that you are on the market. Tell him to go away now before he has you convinced that he's your only option.
