Much has been said and discussed on this C-D forum about the non-alpha a.k.a. "beta" male. However, interestingly enough and as far as I can tell, relatively little has been said about the personality characteristics of non-alpha ("beta") females.
How do you define a "beta" female, and how exactly does she differ from her alpha-female counterpart?
Most people can assume either role if they need to within a given context.
I'm not a particularly dominant personality type, but I can play the role when need be.
Exactly... I don't consider myself an alpha per se... but I always rise to the occasion..... I'm generally one of the smarter guys in the room and in work situations I'm generally one of the senior guys... so its a natural function for me to be that alpha type.....

Your thoughts please?
I don't use those ridiculous terms...I don't define people that way, nor does anyone else that I know.
FWIW: I must admit that I find women who can be described as kind, gentle, caring, nurturing, and affectionate, to be extremely attractive, and as having very beautiful personalities. Whether those kinds of qualities can be described as "beta" are up to individual interpretation, but they had always struck me as rather "non-alpha", for some reason...

Fair enough...but quite a few other C-D users have used those terms (or at the very least, "alpha"), rather liberally, at least with respect to males -- and so I wanted to know what ppl here thought about non-alpha females.

the beta female is not a bossy, raging b*tch, and is thus more appealing for a relationship.
what i find puzzling is how so many (mainly younger) women will try and glorify those aggressive, b*tchy aspects of their personality as if it were an asset.

Considering the source, I'd say it's even less of an issue.

OK gee already, c'mon now...if you don't particularly happen to like the thread topic in question, or don't believe in alpha and beta, no one is forcing you to reply...
Anyone else have any other thoughts?
