I'm wondering what the point of the thread is, CD. Nobody knows why these women hit on you or whether it was all in your imagination. There's no real topic to discuss.

They can't know exactly why, but they can give possible reasons why a cougar would be interested in men my age, and their interpretations of what the cougars' behavior means.

If that were the case, almost 60% of the threads on here have no real topic...

You have been given a bunch of reasons.

I'm just curious, since this hasn't been brought up yet, how old are these women to deem them cougars to you?

LOL ... we try to discourage the threads that would be better as blog posts.

So, the OP is bringing something up today that supposedly happened 10 months ago.
This reeks of I don't know what.

I was pounced on by a gray cougar a few weeks ago! At my age, for a woman to be a cougar, she has to be a gray cougar, even if there's a dye job involved. She moved pretty fast, too (geritol, maybe?), considering that she looked like she'd eaten a lot of prey lately, but I was distracted or I'd probably have gotten away, I think. She ran across the dance floor and grabbed my arm, then tried to chew my ear off - okay, more like talk it off, but you get the idea. My wife saw the whole thing (she was demonstrating with the instructor so could see events unfold), and had a hard time not bursting into laughter. Thankfully, I was eventually able to escape by using the time-tested cougar repellant: "That's my wife over there." I was shaken by my brush with death, but soon recovered.
