So a woman who makes money can't be old fashioned???

Where DO you come up with this stuff??

Making money does not necessarily prevent a man, or woman, from being old fashioned in their values.

I don't agree. However, I wanted to point out a problem with the thread title. Your title says that the one who earns more money should do the pursuing. Then you add genders.

When somebody says that a man should make more money than a woman, it makes me believe that the same speaker, or writer, probably thinks that women's work should be worth less than a man. It brings back the whole notion of women doing women's work. That is just another form of control.

A woman who wants a less succesfull man to pursue her is NOT old fashioned. No way.

Women can still make alot of money, aslong as men with MORE money pursues them. Then they are old fashioned.

Offcourse not all people are old fashioned at all though.

But I feel it's not balanced, it just isn't. Its a one way street and its not healthy for any man to pursue a more succesfull woman.

I disagree too. I don't think it's a double standard when a guy pursues a woman that makes more money than him. Who cares?

I didn't say that. Women can earn more money than men, but in a relationship the man should earn more money AND should do the pursuing. If the couple is old-fashioned.

It evens out and makes for a balanced and harmonious relationship since the guy does the pursuing.

Why not? If the lady made the money a man then can't be cheap. It's my money bub. But most ladies baby their men and give them the new golf club they want, the leather briefcase they want, nice vehicle while they drive the bomb.

You can't have the cake and eat it too. It's not healthy if one person has ALL the advantages and power in a relationship.
