I'm curious about how many people do this. Say you met someone and you have gotten past the 3-5th date, are just dating but not in a relationship, do you normally keep your dating profile up to advertise for more dates, if you plan on still dating someone?

The decision is up to you. What do you want to do?

i don't have one at this time. in the past i kept it marked single when i met someone and dated them a few times. but then i have never gotten into a relationship off of a dating profile. i have only found short term girlfriends that way.

i can see how people would keep their profile as single and looking, because when you are just getting to know someone, chances are it won't work out. but then i guess some people delete or change them to keep things simple...i don't know???

You should keep it up until you have a discussion about being exclusive. You don't have to pay any attention to it, but you should keep it up.

I think on most sites you can hide a profile. This way it's not destroyed should you need it in the future.

Depends on the person. I wouldn't "just" date anybody who also "just" dates a bunch of other people.
