What does it mean when they block you? (dating, girls, attracted)

This guy I know has recently blocked me on social media. The thing is, we aren't enemies. We're pretty close outside of social media even though we don't see each other often. We have mutual friends and he likes my pics when they post them. It's just weird and confusing. He blocked me, unblocked me for a little while (still unfriended though) then blocked me again. Why go through the trouble?

Because whatever you're posting is usually getting on his nerves ... Either that or he's attracted to you, knows he can never be with you and seeing your profile and posts is painful for him.

Maybe he's dating other girls and he doesn't want them to see you.
At first I thought it was my posts being annoying, but that was then. I don't feel I post anything out of the ordinary. And he's unblocked me before because I could see his profile, but he's recently blocked me again even though I don't even contact him.

If he's seeing someone, or interested in someone, he doesn't want them seeing your stuff on his social media, and have them think he's involved with you.

But then wouldn't he block every female (near his age) on his page?
I don't know. Maybe. We've never dated. Just really good friends. He has a girl by the way. We all know each other. He also started ignoring my birthday, which he never used to do before. He's just weird around me sometimes. I just never really knew what I did to make him change.

He's seeing someone. Even before this stuff started. And his gf follows me with no issues.
