Why is intelligence such a turn-on/attractive trait?

For some people, myself included, that is something that makes one more engaging and interesting. I prefer to discuss something interesting with a date than small talk or watch reality TV.

Well, if you're an INFP, you might understand when I, an INTJ, say that I have no patience for repeating myself, and idiots usually need to have things repeated to them until it sinks in. I guess you can say that although intelligence is a turn-on, it's more that stupidity is a turn-off.

I'm an INTJ as well.... I think I read that sometimes an INTJ won't answer something, as they feel it is so obvious it doesn't require an answer.

I get in trouble sometimes with Mrs.Chow over this one......

Well, it isn't universal...
That appeal as a "turn-on/attractive trait" is generally limited to relationships between those who wouldn't be asking this question

This is why there are occasional days where I don't post much, because some of the questions on here warrant nothing more than a "Really? You're asking that?"

Gotta keep that rep-to-post-count ratio favorable!

It's sexier, too. Intelligent people are more creative, more fun, a bit kinkier, and all around just more interesting in the bedroom, in the bathroom, in the backyard behind the shed...

More people are starting to see the effects of the opposite of intellectualism. I don't understand how people have turned against others for being experts, smart, intellectuals, or anything that denotes not being a common dumb ass.

I thought that was only reserved for bad boys. At least that's what others in the bad boys thread have been saying.
