That's the real question. The guy's mugshot doesn't exactly channel Matt McConaughey. He must have been extremely charismatic and/or likely targeted desperate, emotionally-vulnerable women who probably would have had little chance at romance otherwise. I even read that he targeted other men as well.
I have no sympathy for these women. No one "infects" you with HIV unwillingly unless you were raped or stabbed with a used needle. They have the ultimate decision, nothing enters their vagina without a condom if they so choose. They obviously didn't choose, so they must pay the price.

So they deserve to die from AIDS eventually because they decided to have sex with someone and trusted that person to be honest?
This is why everyone should be tested before they enter a relationship.
Just think about the poor people the initially infected slept with who now may be HIV positive because they too were trusting and the partner wasn't even aware they were a carrier!
How about some compassion? What if you were in their shoes?

They make choices, they must live with the consequences. No one in this country can make the excuse that they didn't know or that they don't have access to the right resources. If you can't afford protection, it is available for free. Anyone who has unprotected sex and gets any STD, I have 0 sympathy for. None.
It is their choice, treat each and every person as if they are infected until you have doctor's proof to the contrary. Of course, they don't do that, that would require personal responsibility. Something this country doesn't have anymore.

I agree that personal responsibility is a great thing and that we have been nanny stated into making believe that it is someone else's fault.
However can you honestly say that a woman or man deserves to die for a lapse in judgement?
