I'm pretty young right now plus socially less than average because of years of isolation. So I don't really plan on dating seriously until I'm probably like 19 or 20. At that point I always thought the appropriate approach would be to wait 6 months to weed out all the bad eggs. Those just interested in sex and also I want to have my first time to be with someone I'm going to marry and has proven he's not just interested in getting physically but likes me for me. Plus I know not most guys would wait 6 months which I don't want to be easy to get in bed. At this point I don't have any need for sex so doing it would have to be for a guy I actually liked as a person. Also I don't want to be a statistic that gets an std by 25. So what's the average time period?? Advice? Is this a long period?
I'm 24 and a virgin. Guess I'm waiting for marriage, unless I meet someone with whom I am comfortable and if it feels right and I will be happy with my decision now and the future.
Whatever you do, if you are in alignment with your decision and you are 100% comfortable, it's all good. If you don't hold it against you, then anyone else's opinion won't matter.
Whether it's a week or 6 months.... you won't appear to be easy or hard to get to a guy. If it feels right for both of you, then it's going to be okay. Enjoy it.
Don't push yourself. Don't try to plan in advance or set rules and restrictions up for yourself. Let it happen as it happens.
