I'm more annoyed by the usage of "female" as a noun than offended by it, in the same way I'm annoyed by the usage of "less" when "fewer" is meant. It's just not the right word.

It never occurred to me that a woman would be offended by being called a female. It doesn't bother me in the least.

Ive never heard of Tamil being refered to as "black."
I have dark skin. I look black anyway especially online. Idk my nose looks flatter and my lips are full especially online... I identify as black. I mean my dad was from trinidad dark indians can be considered black too.
If a girl gets upset over you calling her a female, just say "sorry b**ch". Seems fitting to me...
