I actually think making women into the 'more attractive sex' is verging on unnatural. That's why women think they are such princesses, like they need an ego boost. When men say how they can't imagine why women would be attracted to men, they are digging their own grave. These silly boys can't see beyond air-brushed centrefolds.

So, where is the line drawn between natural looking and unnatural looking makeup? And have you ever heard someone say that they prefer unnatural looking makeup?

Oh hells yeah, are you kidding me? Face/body glitter, anyone? That's just one example, of course.

It's decoration.

As far as where to "draw the line" (Do we really need to? It's not ok for a person to do what s/he wants with his/her face? But I digress)...it should be pretty obvious that no human being is born with glittery robin's egg blue eyelids or black thick lines underneath one's eyes (unless one is born an alien in the first case, and a raccoon in the second).

It's also likely nobody is born with a hair growth pattern that ends at exactly 3/4" at the top, 1/2" on the sides with the front sort of spiking up, and that that hair never ever grows... If you like literally natural, that's fine. There are people who are literally natural...no shaving, no deodorant, etc. The other extreme is very unnatural looking/body decorating/changing...MOST people are somewhere in the middle v. at one or the other pole.

Generally, colors that could exist in nature and are not smeared on look "natural" in the general sense of the word as regards cosmetics. I can't believe this is so hard for some of you people.

Most female celebrities, porn stars have fake hair, nails, breasts & other cosmetic surgery plus tons of make-up and guys drool over them regularly. Ever see Jenna Jameson pre surgery? Pretty ghastly.

I wear little to none make-up but men always keep these pictures of above mentioned women as being their fantasy. So what is the truth? Because I don't think man see what the fantasy women have done since it's in photos and film and normal women are scrutinized to the extreme because they see us in real life.

I think many men really, honestly think women like that are real. They don't want to believe that those women are plucked, prodded, airbrushed, and filled with silicone to create that 'natural' look. Add to that photoshop, creative lighting and clothing made especially for their bodies. Just like how many men don't realize how much makeup it takes to get that flawless natural look.

I may drool over Ryan gosling, but I know men don't look like that, nor do I expect them to. But it seems to me that many men expect playboy models and are quite disappointed when they can't find one.

I don't wear makeup, except for a bit to define my eyebrows. I have found, however, that men do treat me better when I do wear makeup. The prettier oh are as a woman, the better you are treated. When I don't wear makeup I'm virtually ignored.
So true, that "no-makeup look" often takes more effort and product than the actual "makeup look".

I never wore makeup in my twenties, but as I've gotten into my early thirties I'm finding it necessary for me. My skin is getting sallow, uneven, I'm getting wrinkles. My husband says he hates makeup and that I'm beautiful without it, but I think I just look...frumpy.

It's strange but people really do seem to treat me different, much better when I have a little makeup on. Of course men and but also women alike.

I think many men wouldn't be able to spot the difference between the no makeup look that actually requires makeup, and the reality of no makeup. OI also think that no actual make-up is appreciated on someone who's still in her teens.

Agreed! The way our current culture is ignoring or even trying to destroy the very notion of male beauty (only gay guys are still promoting it -who takes young women seriously?-) is such a shame, also for us women who have eyes on our faces!

DH was raised in a religion where makeup on women was strictly forbidden, his mother never wore it, and his sisters were punished if caught with it on. He's always preferred that I wear makeup, says I look prettier with some "enhancing".

All things in moderation. Some women look better with some light makeup. I dated a girl once who was a natural blond with very light skin, blond eyebrows and lashes, almost albino looking. She used a little makeup around the eyes for contrast but nothing heavy and she was very pretty with it. Never used lipstick.
I have never seen my wife of 30 years with any kind of makeup on. Not even finger nail polish. She doesn't need it. Brownish/auburn hair (when we were young) beautiful green eyes, and sexy lips. She doesn't need any contrast or enhancement. She has it naturaly. I like the natural look but a little makeup on some women can look very good. When it comes to looking fake or clownish, or to the point of just getting noticed, then I am not impressed. And don't even get me started on silicon implants. Total turn off.

Straight males are doing everything they can to be as boring looking to the opposite sex as possible. No wonder a lot of women are buying into the bi/lesbian-craze, while the men salivate on.
