I wouldn't be on his trail all the time, at all. Simply would want him to tell me what activities he will be doing. The original post doesn't seem like he would be okay with answering her these questions. That's not cool with me.
What if the plans change and the guys decide to go somewhere else? Would that be a problem? I think if you can't trust your man to come home and give you the 411 that indicates a much bigger problem but on that same token men also like to know that you care about what they are doing. Hmm. Hard to strike the right balance I guess.

That a man is the king of his castle, if he comes home from work he expect his meals hot,kids taken care of,house clean,and her not to complain when he goes out to unwind everynight. WDYT? My sister is extremely liberal BTW, so you can guess how well this went over.
Nothing wrong with that point of view. The problem is that both parties have to share it or there is going to be nothing but conflict. If she has other ideas, best to part company as friends NOW and avoid the inevitable problems later.
I don't think I'll ever understand the mentality of the guy in the OP. I'd wanna be doing stuff with my wife, hell that's the whole reason I'd marry her. If I wanted a servant I'd hire one.
But, those are his values and not mine. If your sister wants that kind of relationship then great, if not then she should stay away cos it's a recipe for disaster.
