My wife competed in a 1/2 marathon today so I camped out at the finish line. I had a sweet spot where I could get the clock & her in the frame. Natrually I was snapping other runners, which eventually resulted in an argument with the so-called "event photographers" and cost me my money shot.
If it was open to the public and you weren't in a specially-designated area, I don't see how they could say anything.
This is her 2nd one and I'm happy for her.
Does have a naughty tone huh?

I agree, I was on the spectator side of the barricade, public venue. I realize now, without rehashing the whole exchange she was intentionally putting people in my way to block my line of sight. Problem being she was pissing off other spectators too. I did inform her it was a public venue and I could do what I want.
It was kind of flattering that my perservering presence intimidated her that way.
I am consider posting all the photos online, linking it to the race, and let participants download them.............free.
