Ran into a former gal-pal / dancer at a diner this afternoon. She had her 4-year-old daughter with her (NOT mine).
What a sweetie! She had her little elephant blankie Ellie (basically a wash-cloth with an elephant head on it) and I had a ball playing with it, having it dance around the table, doing stupid voices for it, etc.
I'm not sure who was more amused - her, Mom, the other diners or me.
I forgot how much fun it is to be a kid again.
A little girl name Ellie lives on the 2nd floor in our building, Oreo (one of our dogs) just loves to see her. Pretty sure she feels the same about him.
