If porn objectifies women so much why are women beginning to buy it in record numbers ? I think it's more a generational thing to be honest. Older women seem to have more issues with it than girls my age or younger. Anyway we are all visual creatures, and it's impossible to believe you will only use your mate for your fantasies for your entire marriage.
Are we talking artfully shot stuff or the stuff that looks like clinical studies? Occasionally, we'll like to look at the first. The second is a bit boring and even disturbing.
IMO as a guy...it's a travesty that proposed regulations intended to curb this cancer, such as the Communications Decency Act (CDA), were stopped in their tracks before they could have made a positive difference...
Well this is America, love it or leave it. Acts like the CDA would be an infringement on our first amendment rights to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of expression.
What I am doing here isn't defending pornography specificly, just your right not to view it, and my right to view it if I am inclined to do so.

This is the job of the parent, not the gov't. If you don't feel up to the task of watching over your childrens internet activities, or are otherwise too lazy to "protect" them from obscene material as so many parents are these days, the remedy is simple. Don't have children.
There..... got my soap box moment in for the day......

Well said.
Too many people, who have no idea why they had children, as well as socialists and Liberals (same thing these days I think), think nothing of off loading the parental responsibility for their children onto government.
And the government is.....well, don't get me started.
My husband and I both watch it together and seperately. We did so before we met and were single and didn't see the need to stop. Its hasn't posed any problem for us.
I would only be offended if he either didn't share said porn or watch it with me. Either/or and I'd be cool with it.
