No one has convinced me that a man who owns a cat is straight..
Well, it's kind of asking a lot to dream up some bizarro belief that has no basis in fact and then ask people on an Internet forum to convince you otherwise. Especially when you want to believe this so damn badly that you aren't going to listen to anyone anyway.
Here's the deal--if you are so terrified of meeting a gay man in the closet that you become suspicious that they fit this description just because they own a cat--DON'T DATE MEN WHO OWN CATS.
Next, of course, you will have to worry that they are gay if they own a pink shirt, or if they arrange their towels by color in the linen closet, or if he loves the movie Wizard of Oz...OK, scratch that last one. If he loves the Wizard of Oz, he IS gay. Look for the Dorothy costume hanging at the back of his closet.
If a man owns a cat - he is gay. If he owns a dog - he is straight. If he owns a snake - he's a criminal. If he owns a rabbit - he's immature. If he doesn't own anything - he has mommy issues. See how dumb this sounds?
I grew up with a cat so I love cats. I am definitely only interested in women. I don't own a cat now but wouldn't mind one if I find a better place to live.

Well, if you do, just be careful with that nude typing. Cats sometimes see something dangling and thinks it's a toy.

My Dad used to walk around with no shirt on sometimes.

You find cat ownership to be gay? Hmmm. I always thought gay was sexual orientation, not a pet orientation..... or, do you include your pets in on the fun?
