So far as a cold room and getting into a cold bed, wearing something is better.
And if you get up several times during the night and need to walk around the house and other people are there, then wearing something might be a good idea or have a robe handy.
If you are the "shy" type, then definitely were something! (It is your life, be comfortable...)
We always start off with clothes but if we have a little "fun" during the night, I'm too tired afterwards to find my clothes and put them back on so it's naked the rest of the night. He usually gets redressed (which is just boxers).

Usually I have trouble sleeping in the nude even when alone, so I imagine in the early days sleeping naked with my SO I, or should I say, we wouldn't be getting much sleep. Obviously you can tell my lack of experience lol.
Naked. If it's cold, that's what down comforters are for.
