You don't want his bare bottom on your sheets? Is his butt some area you don't lay hands on? Or is he the type that can never trust a fart and he needs some sort of drop cloth to keep your linens fresh?

I'm a naked sleeper. Been that way since I was an adolescent...well, back then I just slept in my underpants. I feel suffocated when I have to wear t-shirts or pajamas to bed because they twist against me. (It makes me feel panicky.) DH sleeps in sweats in the winter and boxers/t-shirt in summer. And always in socks! No intimacy problems whatsoever, but those socks do make me laugh!! He'll take everything off but keep his socks on!
At last, another sock sleeper! I too wear socks but it's because I have some residual nerve damage in my toes (neuropathy) and without the socks as a buffer, the friction of my sheets is very uncomfortable. I can keep them off until I am actually planning to fall asleep but then they have to go on.
I sleep naked if I'm with someone but on my own I tend to wear boxer shorts. I tend to find they give a little "control" so I don't roll over and accidently crush my enormous package in the night .
Tempting..... brb..... Nope, the wife's shoes don't fit so i'll have to order some, get back to me in a few days.
