The question is, what is an 'alpha female?'

Well, looking at this next one, maybe most guys.

I'm not sure what you mean by tough as nails?

Jamie Lee would've been quite the catch when she was 20 yrs old (not that she isn't now). She's aged better than most.

The same could be said of both Kathleen Turner and Sharon Stone, who would be recognized as "femme fatales," ESPECIALLY Kathleen Turner. So, we could ask the same question, what type of a guy would chase a "femme fatale?"
Oh yeah..........

I don't know if this is what the OP was trying to convey, but I personally love tough women way more than "girly girls." I am attracted to weightlifters and powerlifters, fighters and so on. I love tomboys so much more than dainty women, and I would much rather prefer jeans and a shirt over an elegant blouse or dress (for casual wear.) Minimal makeup too please!

Naw, in my experience it's the totally secure men (I mean secure in all aspects, such as masculinity, penis size, job, emotions, etc...) that do better with more assertive/dominant women.

I have seen too many men who think they are manly and tough,(but have MAJOR insecurity issues) have problems with a woman who is more assertive/dominate.

Same here.

Really? Why/how? I do NOT think of him as a manly man.

A stinky one yeah, lol!

I have a thing for Colby Donaldson(host for Top Shot), he's so damn hot; and I love the things he says about some of the weapons they show.

I like tough women who don’t necessarily lose their feminine side, that is, a feminine woman who you can also see just fine fixing the car with you, moving furniture together, killing a spider, and doing other things where men normally participate or are expected to.

So I guess some rich, high-profile, secure men who has a more traditional (passive/reserved) mate or spouse is INSECURE, then? In addition to looks, people are also attracted/repelled by personality types and behavioral style.
