I ask myself why I join forums even after I leave one. I'm always bouncing around and I've found that it has to do with this need in me to interact, to share my story with others.

Personally, I feel like something is missing inside or in my offline life, I just don't know what. I feel "complete", I just feel like something is missing.

What say you? Why do you join forums?

I feel liberated saying that. Saying that I feel the need to interact and feeling like something is missing. New perspective on my life.

I thought for the longest time I was an introvert, but looking back on life, I think I turned out to be the biggest extrovert.

I think the need to reach out and interact with the world is important part of humanity, makes you feel like you belong or are trying to do something beyond just yourself.

Forums can be fun, so is expressing your opinions openly in a public forum. Welcome to join the forum, no need to feel like you have to be justified.

I think forums are an incredible source of high quality information on almost any subject. Think about it, how else can you contact experts and fans on pretty much any topic so easily?

Are you a broom collector but can't find anyone who cares? You can probably find a forum. Do you need an expert in gardening? There's a forum for that. Cars? Yup, there's a forum. Are you moving to Random City, USA and you need advise from locals? Yup, City Data. Are you a fan of the East Coast Randoms sports team but live in the west coast? You can join the team's forum.

There's a forum for nearly every subject and hobby you can imagine. They are a great way of finding people who like the same things as you do and have intelligent conversations on the subjects you love with them.

I love forums!

I joined this site recently. It was after I was looking up information online and this site popped up. Can't say if I ever read something on it before but this time..it really captured my interest. It was a wonderful post that someone was giving some hints and such on relocating (subject I was looking on line for) Saw the wonderful exchange of information in the post, made me want to join as well. I think we each have our own opinions and life experiences that others can learn from as well as learning from others. Sometimes too, it is nice to know we aren't "alone", being there to encourage someone (or get it yourself) and being happy for someone else is rewarding.

If I had a life and a job that kept me busy, I wouldn't be here.

My job is online and I am also a full time student so I am on my laptop well over 60 hours per week. My forum posting is just something to do while online.

I have quite a fun time 'offline'. Although I don't get out as much as I'd like due to the amount of hours I work and study, but that's life. I try to get out to meet up with frieds for drinks at least 2-3 times per week.

It's pretty much anonymous. You can vent, jump up and down for joy, or rip someone apart -- all from the comfort of your own home.
