I'm in my junior year of high school and just recently turned 17 last month and right now my height is only at 5'8 1/2. My gf is still taller than me at 5'10.

We've been dating since 8th grade (at the time I was 5'3; 4 inches shorter than her but think I'm catching up). Anyways is there still certain hope for me that I'll have an additional growth spurt.

Or I'm I done by now?

I come from a tall family. My father is 6'1, mother is 5'9 and brothers are 6'3 and 5'11.

Who knows? Honestly, No one can really tell you this. It depends on your body, genes etc... You could have a massive growth spurt or be done...

Yeah that's what I'm wondering. From what I know my father was that height too at my age and suddently had a late growth spurt after finishing high school. It happened to my brothers too.

1) Sounds like you will grow some more. Probably. It might not happen until college though and don't expect more than 2 inches.

2) You're already average height. And you ALREADY HAVE the girl. Why do you care about height? She doesn't care.

3) Have her wear flats to the prom.

I've seen adult men who are 5'8" who talk like it's the curse of all society and how they will never get a woman because of it...

Wouldn't you wanna grow too if you were that height? I'm wondering about that day I'll surprise my gf if that ever happens that is.

Stop measuring yourself daily too, it's not going to make you grow either!

Dude, you have a girlfriend.
You already have more than any of our pathetic whiny single male posters.
You must have something about you !
Many of our members are pushing 30 and can't even get a date.
Rest on your laurels and give yourself a pat on the back, especially if she's a hottie.

Learn to love your life, ignore the things you can't change, and worry about the things you can.
Concentrate on your relationship and your personality, not your height

If your girlfriend is a decent person, she's not going to care if you grow. When I was in HS, I was 6' tall and dating a guy who was 5'7 and his height was never an issue. His cheating on me was, however.

As for a growth spurt, my little brother is in the middle of his (hopfully) last one at 19. He's 6'3 right now and will probably hit 6'5 when all is said and done.
