Michael625 does not sound to me like anyone I have heard of in this field. I used to have a close friend that did this type of work and despite all the joking etc. on this thread, it was a legitimate job, and having sex with her clients was something that actually occured on a rare basis. She was married and her husband worked in the office of the group of therapists she worked with. If a client had a sexual problem or disfunction they would go there for weekly therapy. The therapy was discussion like most therapies and would progress slowly to them being more comfortable with touching. After months of therapy they "might" have intercourse, they may not. Not all clients did she have sex with, many she did not. It was not like someone walked into the office and said they needed help and then they both jumped in bed, not even close. These were a group of therapists, many of which has Masters Degrees and many years of training to do this counseling. I never heard her refer to her job as a sexual surrogate, she was a sex therapist and sometimes part of the therapy involved sex.
I only have 3 questions
Is she still in business
What does she look like
and where is her office
A sex surrogate is a member of a sex therapy team who engages in intimate physical or sexual relations with a client in order to achieve a therapeutic goal.
Isn't this just a scholar's manner to say legal prostitute!!
Therapeutic goal .... you're right.
Well as long as it serves it's purpose, no one gets hurt, it's legal and you are happy about it...whats the problem !

I'd hate to know that I needed to pay someone to tell me how to "do it" properly! Imagine lunch with friends: "Yesterday I had a GREAT session with my sex therapist! He taught me where my erogenous zones were and it only cost $250.00!! Here's his card. You absolutely have to try this guy!"
I thought that sex therapists just TALKED WITH their clients about their sexual issues. I had no idea that they actually try to er, um, "work through them." Am I understanding this right?

Well, not sure about that but, if anyone is looking for someone, this is who I see regularly. Very reasonable too.........
