I agree you should focus on yourself first, there's no need to rush and find love, chances are "the one" will come sooner or later. I enjoy being single for now, it's less stressful and right now I'm starting to find focus on a career that I can be proud of myself for doing.
Take it easy, there's no rule that says you HAVE TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP. Enjoy, and have fun with your life.
I have a job and its in the field I want to do. That's a reason to stay plus I like the US just not this area. I agree I need to focus on m self and just let it happen. I'm tierd of going on dates.
In the urban areas, women have said they like Match.com. eHarmony was 2nd place. PoF is for "casual dating" which imo translates to losers and problematic people with no money who are looking for somebody to use. So, I'd give up on that one, unless it's to avail yourself of a PoF party in a nice location in a nearly major city. Pittsburgh, for example, has had dances at country clubs and private clubs, and casual mixer events at places like Sandcastle.
But the dating scene online only matches the caliber of singles that you'd meet in person in any given locale. My locale is poorly educated, highly unemployed, and lower socioeconomic. That's who's in the dating pool, as well. No big surprise, there, LOL.
All I've ever heard about Match.com is that guys are on there to use women. There's always the apocryphal story about a happy (or married) couple that met on Match, but when you talk to women who have tried it, they don't have happy stories to tell. The guys get what they want, then they move on to the next woman.
Start going to the gym, join a club of some sort, get a dog to walk but above all GET YOUR OWN PLACE...move away from the cousins and start building a life. If you smile and are approachable, someone will come along.
