Tim McDonald and Teresa Deion Smith Harris have never lived together or shared more physical affection than what McDonald describes as "an airport hug," but they recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

McDonald is a 50-year-old retired airline pilot. Harris, 34, is a convicted killer, serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole at the Tennessee Prison for Women in Nashville.

IDK - stupidity? no need to really have someone in their life? someone to take out a big insurance policy on? can only commit if their SO is in prison and can't catch them fooling around?

I think there is something pathologically WRONG with these people.

I ran across a website they have where they can bang on about their significant others legal troubles and how unfair it all is. I was rather astonished when I accidently found it while searching for info on a particular topic that they also discussed.

Thought of a few more...

they're lonely and want a SO, but due to being abused in the past only feel safe when the SO can't physically get to them? they enjoy the chase, and this way they can never truly catch them? they need someone to obsess over and "fix" (their legal problems) ? they want an in-law family without the SO?

I know it is several months later from everyone's post but I know this couple personally and they are a lovely couple. Deion is a beautiful and smart woman who made some very bad choices and was in a hopeless situation. I consider her to be a dear friend. In the visitation gallery she is refered to as "The Bride". They are loving and spend time reading the Bible to each other. They are very involved with each other and love doesn't always have to be physical. They are not crazy. Don't judge if you have no inside knowledge of them.

maybe these people think that they cannot get any better?

or maybe they really like the idea of having a convict as a partner?
