you can't cope with a need, it has to be fulfilled..
how does one "cope" with hunger? by eating - you go to the fridge or pantry.. now if there's nothing there, you have to go 'out to eat' as it were
if there's nothin to eat at home, you'll have to go out for a bite - either that, or starve, and see how long you can "cope" against starvation
i give it only a matter of time before you're out to eat elsewhere
Lame analogy. No one is going to die from only having sex twice a week. And there's no other person to hurt when you decide to eat elsewhere. And if you are comparing your wife to a refrigerator that just exists to hold what you want, your marriage sucks anyway.
Sex is a "need" but not on the same level as food.
On the other hand, too much sex doesn't make you obese, either!
If you have no advice to offer the OP, create your own thread on the "fairness" of the responses here.
Good Lord people. Taking any opportunity to hijack a thread and cry "unfair" is getting a little old.
And for the record, my advice would be the SAME if it were a woman complaining that she didn't get sex daily or that her husband had body image issues.
That was not my intentions, but an honest answer since men as they get older begin to produce less testatrone which pushes the sex drive meanwhile many women as they get older increases. This also would create a probelm and men unlike women are not a vain about their bodies as women. An older man inability to perform sexually is more physical than mental or emotional unlike women. This is the real why I asked the question
I very often recommend Dr. Laura's books and get a lot of flack because of it. However, I agree with you, redvelvet, that reading her books with an open mind can do a lot for a marriage. Her points of view may be too "old fashioned" for some folks, but I promise you they work. An
and that is really all that matters, if you ask me.
