let these "full figured" women suffer. most of them wouldn't give short men a chance anyway.......... and complain about men being "superficial". great to watch them explain themselves away with what to them seems like "justifiable" excuses.......... a woman can always do something about her weight no matter how hard it is............

yup. my rule is: I don't care what she calls herself, as long as I can see a full-body pic. no more surprises.

She would be a little bigger than the average fashion model today, but not plus size.

The reason some say she would be plus size today is because size charts have went up,meaning todays size 8 would have been a size 12 in the 50's.
Actually, those measurements would make her more like a size 2.

An average man would not know a 12/14 compared to an 8. If she was an hour glass shape with large breast and curvy hips the majority of men I know are just going to say "Thats what I like" never what dress size she wears

Curvy does not necessarily mean fat. People use different words to describe themselves so it can't be so universal as skinny or fat..

There was this drunk girl at the store last night who was complaining to her friend "god I'm a size six, I need to lose weight, wawawawawawawa :'("

She was pretty damn hot

From what I've seen, yet it does, even when there's also a "full figured" option. And apparently "average" means "pretty darn chubby". Although considering this is the U.S., that may be accurate.

True, but like that one poster earlier in this thread, he would have put the average size woman several sizes smaller than what it actually is.

Ultimately, my point is the "average" label is misleading. I am an average sized woman per statistics and I have put average as my size. Yet, others believe that the actual average sized woman is smaller or they have a different understanding of what "average" means altogether. I think dating sites should just remove that label and put "somewhere in between" or even a "girl next door" option.
