Do people honestly believe that, out of the billions of people on this planet, that their soulmates are just waiting to be taken by them? I don't think so.
Most people are lazy and will settle for the first ******* who'll take out the trash every once in a while.

I suspect we all have a story. I let a beautiful friend walk out of my life in the early seventies. She had just gone through a divorce with a cheating husband and I was married to a cheating wife that I didn't have the courage to leave. My friend moved to Southern California and I lost track of her. Ten years later I went through a divorce and was single for 13 years. Shortly after I remarried, I got an email from my former woman friend, she located me through "Classmates".. We caught up on old times, she had been happily married for many years and her husband had just retired. Two weeks later I got a sad email that her husband had died in her arms from a heart attack. We continued writing back and forth, and still do today. We have both wondered what if, and have talked about what if repeatedly. The night she left for California, back in the seventies, I told her I wished she would stay, she said "give me a reason to stay" and I said "I can't right now". Country singer Mel Tillis has a song out titled "The Woman In The Back Of My Mind", my friend is that woman.
I read this post and got a little choked up.... It's like something out of a movie......

"The One" is probably not a good phrase.
"A One" is probably better. I believe that there are levels of compatibility, and sometimes, we meet someone who meets that compatibility at a very high level. However, in theory, there probably is another person out of the billions on the planet that would match that compatibility.
That said, whatever you call it, I married the right guy!
I think all of us have that one person that you feel like you have an undeniable and almost inexplicable connection with. Some are lucky enough to have a relationship with that person that lasts forever. With some of us we just meet at the wrong time and it can never be. Unfortunately i am of the latter.

Hahah because this word has many meanings. It's the foreskin on a pee-pee, or a bad word to call a Jewish person, or another word for Idiot and moron.
I think there are (guessing...obviously) 4500 'One's' and it's just about timing. I don't think there is one person for one person because what about if your 'one' lived on a different continent and you never met them. You would be holding out and eventually dying whilst looking for something so unobtainable.
Many people are compatible with each other and it's more of a percentages thing.
